I am an old school fan of this game.Discovered it when I was in my teens and thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole through the time PS2 was in its prime.Pros:-Still a fun game, story is hilariously great, a bit campy.-Voice acting is great, again, campy, but it makes it all the more enjoyable.-No 'moral alignment' system. This is a game where vampires are vampires, you are expected to be as such.-Feels like there's some inspiration from HG Gieger in some of the designs.Cons:-Porting the game to PC was not smooth from what I can tell. It wasn't ported properly and is in sore need of an update. This game crashes even the most updated computers and even goes as far as to freeze Windows 10- that's a HUGE problem.-Controls are clunky, and you can tell it was obviously made for a handheld controller. Took me three different tries of control key-binding to figure out my best way to play.Overall, I do recommend the game, but I also recommend making sure your computer is prepared.Even World of Warcraft runs smoother at its lowest framerate than this game.. The prequal to the Legacy of Kain series that went on to Soul Reaver,I'd put Blood Omen one first before this but it's not on steam. I recommend finding the first one for the Ps1,or get a Ps1 emulator to play it. Blood Omen 2 takes place right after the first game,you find out that Kain has chosen to sacrifice himself for the greater good,and in doing so has placed the land in a state of chaos between humans and monsters. Find and kill your old clan members to gain more power and kill the one that stuck you down in the battle of vampires and the Sarafan,a cult of humans built to destroy you and your kind. Solve puzzles and fight your way through countless enemies,traveling the land to find the Sarafan lord and get revenge for what he did to you and your kind.. As far as I can tell, a wholesale dump of the original 2002 release; not a port. Will not properly recognize contemporary hardware (e.g. controllers). Will not run properly on contemporary operating systems. Had to stare down an inescapable blank screen for five minutes and reboot my computer just to write this review.
